Tulsa has dozens of memorials to Americans who served in the Armed Forces.  These memorials are not just statues or locations set aside in parks or cemeteries, but include memorial highways, plaques, roadside markers and other less traditional memorials.

The American Legion Memorials project seeks to catalog all of these memorials across our great nation.  This ambitious project will attempt to include ALL memorials throughout the world.  Click here to reach the national American Legion Memorials Project website.

Post 1 will add the stories of our local memorials to this project.  As Tulsa memorials are added to The American Legion national site, they will also appear on our Post 1 web site. Since the space available at the national site necessarily limits what is included in that post, an expanded story about the memorial may appear in the War Memorial section of our history site, along with additional photos and other information concerning the memorial.  Click here to reach the War Memorial section.
